CSPP Cambodian Psychology Education Fund Details » Donate Online

The Cambodia Psychology Education Fund, offered by the California School of Professional Psychology, provides a full five-year scholarship for the Clinical Psychology PhD program at the San Diego, California campus of Alliant International University. In addition to the academic scholarship, funds are being raised to supplement the cost of living to ensure our international student has every opportunity to succeed alongside his/her classmates. All contributions will be used to pay for living incidentals such as monthly rent, health insurance, and among other things, the cost of food, clothing, and transportation.

The scholarship is open to graduates of the Department of Psychology at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) with a committment to advancing psychology education and training in Cambodia. Upon degree completion, the visiting scholar will return home to Cambodia to assist in the training of additional psychology students at RUPP.

The recipient for this award beginning the program during the 2010-2011 academic year is Mr. Vannavuth Sochanvimean. Upon degree completion and return to Cambodia, Vannavuth will be one of only a few trained psychologists in the country, leading the way in providing mental health services for the people of Cambodia. We hope Vannavuth will be the first of many visiting Cambodian students.
